Make sure kids pack a bottle of water as they head off to school - it's going to be a hot one.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County is currently under a heat warning.
It was first issued yesterday when our daytime high passed the 30 degree mark, and then with the humidity it felt more like 40 degrees. And we're looking at the same thing again today.
Heat illnesses are very possible today, especially for the very young or elderly. You are encouraged not to exercise in the heat of the day, make sure you drink plenty of fluids, and if possible try to find somewhere cool to rest. And remember thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration - you should be drinking throughout the day.
If you were looking to cool off at Southside Aquatic Centre, you will want to find other plans - the pool is closed for its annual cleaning.
A cold front should move through tomorrow, which will put an end to this heat wave.
