The poll asks residents if they support Woodstock Council's decision to remove benches and picnic tables downtown and hire 24/7 security at Museum Square?
WOODSTOCK - Heart FM listeners seem divided on 24 hour security at Museum Square and removing all of the benches downtown.
Woodstock City Council passed the motion last week, in response to some of the escalating problems downtown, specifically a fire that nearly destroyed the old Museum. You can read more about that decision online here.
The Heart FM poll asks listeners:
Do you support Woodstock Council's decision to remove benches and picnic tables downtown and hire 24/7 security at Museum Square?
With nearly 1,000 people responding, the results are pretty close with 54% saying they support councils decision and 46% saying they are not in favour of it. We are going to leave the poll up over the weekend and post the final results on Monday.
