Conservative candidate Arpan Khanna won the federal byelection last night, followed by Liberal candidate David Hilderley in second place and NDP candidate Cody Groat in a distant third place. Were you surprised by the results?
OXFORD COUNTY - Arpan Khanna will become the next Member of Parliament for Oxford County, after winning the federal byelection.
The Conservative candidate secured 43 percent of the vote last night. He was followed by Liberal candidate David Hilderley with 36.2 percent and NDP candidate Cody Groat with 10.5 percent.
CHP candidate John Markus placed in fourth with 4.4 percent of the vote, PPC candidate Wendy Martin received 3.3 percent, Green Party candidate Cheryle Baker finished with 2.2 percent, and Independent candidate John Turmel walked away with 0.4 percent.
