"Some candidates have chosen to participate in all candidates' forums and others have chosen to spend their time taking their message directly to voters at the door." - Ernie Hardeman's campaign team.
OXFORD COUNTY - Ernie Hardeman's campaign team has released a statement regarding Hardeman's lack of attendance at local all candidates' debates.
The incumbent PC candidate did not attend the Oxford County Federation of Agriculture debate in Embro on May 11th or the Unifor Local 636 debate in Woodstock on May 18th. He is also not in the line-up for the upcoming Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board debate in Ingersoll this Thursday night.
When asked about the matter, Hardeman's team said that Hardeman is hard at work campaigning, adding some candidates choose to attend all-candidates forums while others decide to focus more on door-to-door canvassing.
You can read the full statement below:
"Ernie is campaigning hard in his riding to earn the trust of voters for the Ontario PC plan to get it done. Some candidates have chosen to participate in all candidates' forums and others have chosen to spend their time taking their message directly to voters at the door.
When Ernie is not out canvassing, he distributes his time between the Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Woodstock campaign offices."
