Kids are invited to Go Wild at the libraries in Oxford County this summer.
The libraries in Oxford County have plenty of options for you to enjoy your summer vacation.
All 14 libraries in the County will feature the Go Wild 2016 summer reading program. System Support Librarian for Oxford County Sarah McDonald tells Heart FM they have a number of fun events happening this summer.
"We have Kennedy's Critters, he is going to be coming with a bunch of wild animals to the library and kids can interact with a pig, a chinchilla and a snake, we are going to have escape rooms set up at some of our branches, all kinds of stuff we are going to have Mad Science, crafts, we have story times, we have programs for all ages at the 14 branches in Oxford."
Registration for the Go Wild summer programs starts this Saturday. Kids will get to participate in the Social Media Safari and the Red Reveal with the Go Wild program.
"A Go Wild photo booth will be set up for the Social Media Safari, so we have a wild animal at each of our branches and a set of props for our photo booth, so kids can take really fun and wacky pictures with the animals and then post them to social media. The other program offered at all of our branches is called the Red Reveal, they are going to get a pair of red reveal glasses which they can use to decode clues that they will get every week, as well we are going to post a reading challenge in each of the branches using a red reveal poster, so they will need their glasses to read what those challenges are."
Parents are asked to register their kids this Saturday for the library programs.
