WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is doing a resurfacing of Dundas Street from Wellington Street to Van Ave this Fall.
The project will rejuvenate the 20 year old driving surface. Construction is slated to start this Monday and the project will take at least 3-5 weeks, depending on weather and unforseen difficulties. This is going to have a major impact on parking in the downtown core. There will be no parking on Dundas Street during the length of construction. The City of Woodstock has listed alternative parking options on there web page here.
Eastbound traffic will be maintained at all times, and westbound traffic will be detoured north to Ingersoll Avenue from Dundas Street and Huron Street, then west on Ingersoll Avenue to Vansittart Avenue, and south on Vansittart Avenue back to Dundas Street. The City does apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Heart FM has heard from a couple of local business owners who are worried about the impact this construction will cause them, during the busy Fall season, leading up to Christmas.
