The Canadian men's para ice hockey team will have a shot at winning the gold medal after they beat Korea in the semifinals last night 11-0.
BEIJING - The Canadian men's para ice hockey team has secured a spot in the gold medal final at the Beijing Paralympics.
They celebrated an 11-0 win over Korea last night, and Oxford County's Garrett Riley scored one of the goals for Team Canada. They will face the winner of this morning's U.S. vs. China semifinal matchup and the score was 8-0 for the Americans as of 8:17 a.m. You can watch the game online here.
Team Canada has also won another four medals at the Beijing Paralympics.
Mollie Jepson has won silver in the women's standing giant slalom for para alpine skiing, Brittany Hudak has won a para biathalon bronze, Mark Arendz has won a silver in the men's standing biathlon and Tyler Turner has won a para snowboard bronze in the banked slalom competition.
Team Canada has now secured 20 medals total; seven gold, four silver and nine bronze.
