Environment Canada says we're in for a mix of freezing rain and regular rain this morning. We could also see wind gusts up to 70 kilometres per hour today.
OXFORD/BRANT - We're still under a freezing rain warning and a special weather statement in Oxford and Brant.
The freezing rain will be mixed with regular rain this morning because the temperature is close to the freezing mark. Environment Canada says this will make it hard to predict the exact amount of freezing rain we'll get, but we could see anywhere between 1 to 4 milimetres of ice accretion.
It's only predicting regular rain for this afternoon with anywhere between 10 to 25 milimetres in the forecast. We could see some flooding in some areas, because the ground is still partially frozen which will affect its ability to absorb the rain.
Make sure you prepare for slippery conditions if you have to drive anywhere today.
We're also in for wind gusts up to 70 kilometres per hour today, which could cause power outages.
