WOODSTOCK/TAVISTOCK - The Thames Valley District School Board confirmed positive cases at four schools this morning.
Two of the schools are in Oxford County with new cases identified at Huron Park in Woodstock and Tavistock Public School. The other schools listed were West Nisouri Public School in Thorndale and Davenport Public School in Aylmer.
Thames Valley wishes to assure the community that all staff, parents and guardians of affected school communities were immediately notified. Schools remain open and school buses continue to operate, unless otherwise noted.
Health units investigate cases to identify close contacts and follow up directly to provide specific testing advice.
If you are not contacted by the public health unit, your child is not considered to be at risk. The health unit will only contact those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact, and will advise them to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days.
Thames Valley is following all health and safety protocols recommended by both the local public health unit and the Ministry of Education, and schools remains safe places to attend.
