The Premier indicated today the Province is almost ready to lift all COVID-19 restrictions, but did not give a timeline.
Premier Doug Ford says the Province is working on plans to open the Province.
He specifically said we are on track to remove almost all restrictions but did not give a timeline.
He says these plans have been in place, long before the protests.
"We are going to take the advice, which I have, right from day one and we are going to make sure our decisions are based on health and on science. We put these plans together, well before these protests started."
A video has been circulating online of the Premier saying he is ready to get rid of the vaccine passport. When asked about it directly today, the Premier would not commit to an answer.
"You know something, it is based on what Dr. Moore the previous week and what Dr. Moore said yesterday. I want to be very clear, I will never negotiate with people who break the law, with people that are in there illegally that are occupying cities. Dr. Moore has clearly said it is time to move forward."
Last week, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore stated it was time for us to learn to live with the virus.
Yesterday he said they are looking at lifting more restrictions and will provide his recommendations to the Province early next week.
We are expecting some kind of announcement on the Province easing or eliminating restrictions next week.
