The Florida Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in Game 7.
SUNRISE - The Panthers have won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
This comes after Florida celebrated a 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 last night. Edmonton had been trailing the best-of-seven championship series 3-0 but made a comeback after celebrating wins in Games 4, 5, and 6.
Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe scored for the Panthers last night, while Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves.
Oilers captain Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the NHL playoffs.
