Just 1 point separates three teams for first place in the PJHL Doherty division.
WOODSTOCK - The regular season wraps up this weekend in local Junior C action.
In the Doherty division, three times are fighting for first place. Woodstock and Wellesley are currently tied for the top spot, with Tavistock just one game behind. Woodstock holds the tiebreaker against both teams, so if they can win both games tonight, they will earn the top spot for the playoffs.
The Navy Vets host New Hamburg tonight for Fan appreciation night. Tickets cost just $5 to get in and kids 12 and under are free. The team will also be doing some giveaways throughout the evening. Woodstock finishes the season tomorrow night in Burford.
Meanwhile Tavistock has a huge home game tonight against Wellesley. Puck drop for that one is 8:30 pm. If Tavistock loses, they will not have a chance to earn first place for the playoffs.
Wellesley finishes their season on Saturday night against Norwich. Meanwhile the Braves wrap things up on Sunday against Burford.
The Thamesford Trojans meanwhile travel to Port Stanley this weekend for a 7:30 pm game on Saturday night.
