A father and his 16 year old son were able to escape safely after a fire destroyed their home last night in SWOX. The community is currently gathering clothing donations for the pair who lost everything.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - Nobody was injured a fire fully engulfed a house on Salford Road last night.
The house belonged to a single father and his 16 year old son. They were able to escape safely, along with their pets. The house however has been completely destroyed. The family lost everything, even the boy's truck, which was parked in the garage.
The two guys are currently living with friends and right now they are in need of clothing. The son has a pant size of 32/33 and the dads pant size is 30/32. They wear a size 10 and 11 shoe and need all clothing items, as they lost everything in the fire. Already the community has helped out with some clothes but they still need shoes, underwear, pants, sweaters and coats. The family is also accepting gift cards and cash.
You can drop off your donations at several locations including 313608 Dereham Line in Salford and they are also accepting donations on Quinn Drive in Salford and at Local 88 Unifor Hall on Victoria St in Ingersoll.
