Fanshawe College will bring the MyPath Food Service Worker program to the Fusion Youth Centre in the fall.
INGERSOLL - Fanshawe College is bringing its MyPath module for Food Service Worker program to the Fusion Youth Centre in Ingersoll.
The college is offering students flexible, short term, and career specific learning opportunities at the centre in the Fall.
Eric Collins the Student Engagement Specialist with Fanshawe College Woodstock campus tells Heart FM why Fusion was chosen.
"The Fusion Youth centre has a state of the art kitchen, state of the art food preparation area right on site. It will allow students to learn from professionals in the field and it allows the Fanshawe College Woodstock Oxford Regional campus to deliver this program where the students are."
He also explains how the course will be delivered.
"This entire course will be delivered at the Fusion Youth Centre. It is the same program in terms of content that would be offered at the Woodstock Campus but we are taking advantage of Fusion Youth Centre and frankly we are bringing the program to the students in Ingersoll."
The course will be taught by people who work in the field or leaders in their field, giving students the opportunity to know more about the industry.
