Brant County has several family friendly and free activities they're offering this weekend, including free transit on Monday.
The County of Brant has plenty of family day activities planned for this weekend.
They are also offering free transportation via Brant Transit on Monday, February 21, 2022. Transportation can include trips anywhere in the County of Brant and going from the County of Brant to the City of Brantford (and vice versa).
Director of Recreation Services Stacey Ellins says they're excited to celebrate Family Day this year.
"We invite you to join us! We missed you last year and we are so thankful to be together this year."
Free activities include the following:
- Story Book Walks at the Mount Pleasant Nature Park and the Janice Hunt Memorial Park (3 The Key, Burford)
- Find Waldo at local parks
- Try cross country skiing, snow shoeing or hiking the local trails

The County is also offering Family Day Skates for all ages at the Brant Sports Complex, South Dumfries Community Centre and Burford Community Centre. The cost is $1/person.
The Syl Apps Community Centre has Kinderplay for children ages 1 to 8 and it only costs $1 per person.
Families are asked to register for these events due to capacity limits online at www.brant.ca/COBConnect.
Please note, the following COVID-19 protocols remain in effect for those entering the Community Centres:
- Proof of Vaccination is required for adults and youth 12 and older.
- Skates: Masks may be removed once participants are on the ice.
- Kinderplay: Masks may be removed once participants are on the turf, parents/guardians are required to wear a mask.
- Participants must practice physical distancing and remain two (2) metres from other participants unless from the same household.
