Plenty to see and do around Oxford County this Family Day.
Looking for something to do with your family on this holiday Monday? Here's a look at what's going on around Oxford County:
WOODSTOCK
The City of Woodstock's cultural district is hosting some free Family Day activities.
The Art Gallery, Museum and Market Theatre are hosting some family oriented events.
Education Coordinator Stephanie Porter on what's happening at the Art Gallery. "There's an exhibition on at the moment called 'Facets' and it's the Oxford Weavers and Spinners and they're celebrating their 60th anniversary. So we will be doing some traditional paper weaving with the kids, as well we will have some goodies provided by the Friends of the Woodstock Art Gallery."
Across the street, the Museum has some Olympic-themed events relating to their current exhibit.
Both facilities are open from 11-2 and the activities are free. From 1-2 this afternoon, there's a free youth performance at the Market Theatre.

The Woodstock YMCA is hosting its own Family Fun Day event, and is open to all, and is free. There will be crafts, swimming and even family zumba.

It should be a carnival-like atmosphere, as Lead Team Member Brent Shepherd says there are several events planned throughout the day at the community centre. "A carnival area and it's going to have inflatabiles and cotton candy, popcorn, carnival games and face painting. We have skating all day for free, and swimming at three different times."
All of the events are free except for the pancake breakfast which is $5 per family.
Shepherd says there's something for every age group. "There's even a video game tournament, or video games for people to enjoy with their friends and family, to get together and play some family friendly games. We have a $1 pizza lunch. It's going to be a really busy place."
