One man was trapped inside his truck for over an hour after yesterday's storm.
DRUMBO - Nobody was injured after several trees and hydro lines collapsed in Blandford-Bleinham Township.
A hydro line actually fell on a truck on Township road 8 yesterday afternoon just east of Drumbo near Wolverton. The driver managed to escape without any injuries. He did have to wait in his car for over an hour while hydro crews cleaned up the fallen lines on his truck.
The incident was one of several as a number of trees and hydro lines collapsed in the township during yesterdays storm. The storm caused damage on Township road 5 and County road 29 from Drumbo to Ayr. On 29 the storm actually knocked over one of the main hydro lines servicing the area. Power was out in Drumbo, Wolverton, Plattsville, Ayr, Princeton and Bright for several hours yesterday starting at 4:30 p.m and most homes in the region had their power back on by 7:30 p.m. The power outages impacted about 5,000 people.
