Extra cruisers will be roaming the streets of the Friendly City this weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Don't be alarmed if you notice extra cruisers roaming the streets of the Friendly City this weekend.
Constable Nikki VanLeeuwen says the force is making preparations as they expect the population of the city to double.
"We have extra officers working this weekend, a lot of auxilliary officers are coming in for the community events. Our focus is going ot be on the drinking and driving, impaired by drug driving, speeding, and distracted driving."
Although overall VanLeeuwen says they don't see a huge surge of charges during the long weekends, impaired driving continues to be a major issue.
