Bringing a wealth of experience in collections management and art education from institutions across the province, Carolyn Hickey is excited about this next chapter in her career.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery is happy to introduce the new Head of Collections.
Carolyn Hickey, a graduate from the University of Guelph with a Master’s degree in Art History and Visual Culture, will be taking on the role.
She is bringing a wealth of experience in collections management and art education from institutions such as The MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie, The Art Gallery of Guelph, The Stephen Bulger Gallery in Toronto, The Bachinski/Chu Print Study Collection at the University of Guelph, as well as Guelph Civic Museums.
Mary Reid, Director/Curator is looking forward to what Carolyn can bring to the table.
"Carolyn is passionate about community engagement and accessibility to the arts in Canada. We are looking forward to what she will bring to the Woodstock Art Gallery in terms of her expertise and knowledge."
Carolyn expressed her Excitement for the position.
"I am excited by the opportunity to work with the staff as well as the community in order to manage, maintain and promote the Woodstock Art Gallery collection."
Admission to the Woodstock Art Gallery is free and open to all.
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm; Wednesday 10 am -7 pm; Closed Sunday and Monday.
