With the help of drones and their K9 unit, Woodstock Police have laid charges following a break and enter investigation off Dundas and Woodall.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have charged a suspect after a business was broken into.
On Saturday, January 27, 2024 at approximately 11:50 p.m., the Woodstock Police Service responded to a report of an alarm triggered at a business in the area of Dundas Street near Woodall Way.
When they arrived, police located cut outs in fences along the perimeter, equipment moved around in the compound, as well as fresh footprints in the snow leading toward a neighbouring business’ compound.
Police deployed the Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (drone) and the K9 Unit to assist in the search for the suspect.
The coordinated effort has resulted in the arrest of the 40-year-old of Woodstock, who is facing charges of:
· Break and enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence;
· Break and enter a place – commit indictable offence; and
· Two (2) counts of fail to comply with probation order
