There's now some doubt about whether public elementary schools will be open or closed tomorrow. The province is trying to block the one day walkout planned for tomorrow by taking the case to the Ontario Labour Relations Board. The province calls the planned action by teachers and "illegal strike", while the teachers' union is calling it a "political protest". The government also wants to stop a similar move by high school teachers next week, on January 16th. This afternoon, the Thames Valley District School board says a decision on whether schools will be open or closed will be made by 6 a.m. Friday.
