Woodstock Police want people to be cautious of a Black Mouth Cur by the name of Angel living in the area of Brompton Park.
WOODSTOC K -
On Thursday April 13th a woman was walking her 11 year old Black Australian Shepherd Cross on a leash when a Black Mouth Cur charged towards them. Officers say the Black Mouth Cur known as Angel attacked the Australian Shepherd Cross, causing injuries to its throat and face that had to be treated by a veterinarian.
The 24 year old male owner of the Black Mouth Cur was on scene and managed to get his dog under control. A Black Mouth Cur is a dog breed intended for hunting.
Police believe the canine has attacked another dog in the past and they say owner is not fully cooperating.
The owner will be summoned to Provincial Offenses Court and a Justice will determine the dog’s fate.
