Ontario is reporting 218 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, keep in mind the case numbers always trend higher on Thursdays and Fridays.
ONTARIO - Ontario is reporting 218 new cases of COVID-19 this morning.
It is the first time the daily case numbers have been over 200 in three weeks.
Three additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded today, meaning the total number of deaths now sits at 9,328. Another 169 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 539,200.
The province completed nearly 19,425 tests yesterday. We currently have 105 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 86 people in the ICU and 60 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 38 new cases in Toronto, 38 in Peel Region, 25 in Hamilton, 19 in the Region of Waterloo and 13 in Grey Bruce.
