It highlights the issues that were reported on County roads and all of the improvements that were made in 2023.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County Council has received the first annual Transportation System Performance Report.
Deputy Warden Mark Peterson says it details how the County responded to issues on their streets during 2023.
"By looking at this report, I see that we're on the reactive side which is good to see. Now we can say there have been a lot of different accidents in this specific spot, so we need to make some changes."
It also highlights the performance of and improvements to the County's road network, traffic and road safety initiatives, and active transportation infrastructure.
This includes 40 kilometres of road reconstruction, two major bridge/culvert construction projects, and the installation of 18 speed feedback signs and 20 community safety zones. Accessibility sidewalk improvements were also installed at intersections in Norwich and Tavistock, as well as audible pedestrian signals.
