The holidays are often referred to as the most wonderful time of the year, but that's not always the case.
The holiday season can be a tough time for some people, especially if they are dealing with the loss of a loved one.
Grief Supporter Nicole Bruder says it's going to be hard no matter what you do. She suggests talking about it.
"When you are in a group of people and everyone is grieving the same person, somebody needs to give everybody permission to mention that person. By saying their name, sharing and talking about memories of that person it brings everybody closer together and gives everybody permission to talk about them."
Bruder also recommends creating new traditions.
If you are having a tough time coping with grief over the holidays, The CMHA Crisis and Outreach Team will be offering a walk in counseling service at their Woodstock office on December 30th from 11am to 4pm.
Crisis and Outreach Worker Aaron Donnelly says you can also contact them through Reach Out; 1-866-933-2023.
"There's no problem with reaching out and getting a little bit of help and support. Our Outreach Team is here and we'd be happy to speak with anyone."
