The Old St. Paul's Anglican Church in Woodstock is hosting a soup and sandwich luncheon on February 12th from 11 to 1:30 pm with proceeds going back towards the church.
WOODSTOCK - A soup and sandwich luncheon will take place inside the St. Paul's Anglican Church next week.
Residents can choose between three kinds of homemade soup or a salmon and egg salad sandwich.
Reverend Robert Luxton says it's their first event of the year.
"We do it about three times a year and we have a soup and sandwich luncheon that helps to raise funds for our parish and to support our church and to provide a good meal for our community."
The soups being served are homemade potato, carrot and vegetable beef soup. You can also have your choice of homemade dessert with a coffee or tea.
If you're unable to attend then there is takeout available where orders can be placed for a specific pickup time.
Reverend Luxton says the event has been going on for over a decade.
"It's a way to get out in the cool winter months, have fellowship with one another, have a hearty meal at a reasonable cost. It's just a good event for everybody involved, all of our volunteers and also all our guests who come."
Tickets are $7.00 and they can be picked up at the door or from any Ways and Means member. You can also contact the church at 519-537-3912.
You can also contact the church office to place an order for takeout. You can email OSP@execulink.com.
It is happening on February 12th from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.
