DORCHESTER - The Northdale Central Public School in Dorchester will remain open after a positive case of COVID-19.
The Middlesex London Health Unit is currently investigating the case and staff, parents and guardians were immediately notified. Thames Valley Education Director Mark Fisher says the health unit is in the process of identifying the individual’s close contacts and following up directly to provide specific testing advice.
“If you are not contacted by the health unit, your child is not considered to be at risk. The Health Unit will only contact those staff and students who have been identified as a close contacts. Close contacts are also being advised to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days.”
Thames Valley is following all health and safety protocols recommended by both the local public health unit and the Ministry of Education. Fisher says that that Northdale Central Public School remains a safe place to attend school.
