The London District Catholic School Board which serves Oxford County has received an online threat about clowning.
The London District Catholic School Board is taking a clown threat very seriously.
Clowning has become something of an epidemic across North America recently. Several clown sightings have popped up south of the border and in Canada. Threats have been made to schools and people have taken videos of clowns in neighbourhoods scaring children and grown ups alike. It is a disturbing trend sweeping the continent right now.
The London District Catholic School Board which serves Oxford County has gotten an online threat about clowning. They posted the following message on their website this afternoon.
"A threat has been brought to our attention involving persons disguised as clowns coming to secondary schools on Friday. We believe the threat to be associated with a larger social media effort across the continent. We will work with police services to ensure safety of staff and students. Further communication will follow as necessary."
We will provide you with more information on this story as soon as it becomes available.
