Nobody was injured and the quick response from local firefighters helped save the building after a fire last night at 62 Clarke Street.
WOODSTOCK - Nobody was injured after a residential fire Friday night at 62 Clarke Street North in Woodstock.
Firefighters were called to blaze around 6:45 pm on Friday night after getting a call from a person living upstairs. Crews were able to respond in minutes and control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading. The fire did cause about $20,000 in damage to the home.
The Woodstock Fire Department and the Woodstock Police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
The Woodstock Fire Department is also reminding everyone you need to have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed on ever floor of your home.
