WOODSTOCK - After a year on the shelf, the Civic Centre hockey arena in Woodstock is open for business.
The old barn officially opens on Saturday. The first team to hit the ice will be the U7 kittens of the Woodstock Wildcats Girls Hockey Association.
The Civic Centre was shut down all last year because of COVID-19 and the costs of running the arena, when nobody would be playing in it.
The Civic Centre will mostly used by the Woodstock Wildcats. They will also house some figure skating, pickup hockey, men's leagues and Ringette.
