Volunteers are needed to help at out at summer camps in the City of Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is looking for some student volunteers this summer.
Supervisor of Recreation, Programs, and Sponsorships Emma Vondervoort.
"We are looking for volunteers between the ages of 13 and 17 to help out with our Rec Summer Camps, as well as our Museum summer camp and the summer camp at the Art Gallery."
Vondervort says it is a great way for local teens to get the volunteer hours they need to graduate.
"It's great because you have the option of volunteering for one week, or all 9 weeks or whatever you like and that is really helpful because if you do one week, sometimes that will give you, your 40 hours right there."
She adds that volunteers will have a chance to go through leadership training, it is a great resume builder and you can go on field trips and go swimming, it really can be a lot of fun.
You can find more information on how you can apply to be a volunteer online here.
