The Toronto Blue Jays have traded utility player Cavin Biggio to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
TORONTO - A trade between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers has occurred.
It is reported that utility player Cavin Biggio will make his way to the Dodgers in exchange for minor-league pitcher Braydon Fisher. Biggio was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays last Friday. Biggio has been up with the big club for six seasons and in the organization for nine. This season Biggio was batting .200 with a pair of home runs in 131 plate appearances.
As for Fisher, he has pitched 19 innings between double-A and triple-A and has an ERA of 5.68 giving up 15 walks and striking out 30. Fisher is a curveball first pitcher, he also throws a fastball reaching 91 to 94 mph, along with a cutter and slider.
