WOODSTOCK - Operation Sharing will be hosting a cash donation drive tomorrow at the Giant Tiger on Clark and Dundas Street.
The drive will go to support The Inn, Food For Friends and Bullwinkle's Eatery. The donation drive is sponsored by Brock and Visser Funeral Home and Little Ceasars Pizza, Swiss Chalet and Boston Pizza have been supplying food for the Inn since the pandemic started.
Community Coordinator Chris Eby says Operation Sharing has been affected by the pandemic.
"We were quite a bit short when we started our fiscal year and some of our restaurants that serve the Inn with meals have not been able to come back with us yet, and understandably so because of the pandemic."
He says any sort of cash donation will be accepted.
"It doesn't matter if it's a nickel, if it's a dime or if it's $1,000. We accept anything that we can get to help with our programs, especially with the Inn and Food for Friends because without them we'd have a lot of homeless people that have nowhere to go."
He adds upon giving a cash donation, people will be able to receive a taxable receipt. The drive will run from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
