A local business has been recognized for their unfailing commitment to the Relay for Life.
WOODSTOCK - The Canadian Cancer Society Oxford County Branch proudly presented a local business with a provincial award.
Cargill has been awarded one of three 2017 Relay For Life Champion Award for Teams.
Senior Manager for the Cancer Society Janice Cunningham says this team has been one of their biggest advocates for years.
"We're so pleased to be able to give Cargill this award for their team that's been in Relay for Life since 2004. They've done an amazing job - they've raised over $245,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society and our fight."
Cunningham says this is a team that keeps Relay top of mind all year round.
"They don't just wait until April or May or June, they start now and fundraiser all year to make the tremendous donations they make each year. This year they raised $18, 299."
