Province to table bill to ban some candy-flavoured tobacco products
The Canadian Press is reporting the province is planning to ban the sale of candy-flavoured cigarillos and chewing tobacco.
It's an extension of current restrictions that ban selling the products to youth.
The CP cites government sources that the coming bill will not ban other tobacco-based flavoured products like twist sticks, dissolvable strips and lozenges.
The Canadian Cancer Society says those products can contain three times as much nicotine as a smoked cigarette, making them highly addictive.
