In years past the Farm Show has almost doubled the population of Woodstock for three days, providing a great boost for local restaurants, shops and hotels. There is always lot's of new stuff to showcase every year and this year is no different.
WOODSTOCK - Canada's Outdoor Farm Show takes over Woodstock for the next three days.
Over 40,000 visitors are expected to roll through town during the annual event, providing a nice little boost to the local economy. Communications Manager Amanda McFarlane says they have a lot of cool new features this year.
"We have a couple of new demo's going on, our tillage demo is focusing on cover crops this year, we have a roller crimper demonstration that is a new technology as well. One of the biggest highlights is the Evolution of Farming Demo, presented by the Dot Technology Corporation, that is actually showcasing, new to Eastern Canada, fully autonomous farming vehicle."
She adds they still have all the old classics as well.
"We have the Britespan Dairy Innovation, featuring robotic milkers. We have cattle handling demo's, we have sheep handling demo's a pasture grazing demo and lot's of exhibitors around the site with new equipment and demo's."
