Ingersoll's Ella Shelton and Team Canada can secure a spot in the gold medal game with a win tonight against Switzerland.
CALGARY - Canada will take on Switzerland tonight in the semi final game at the IIHF World Women's Hockey Championship.
The winner of the game will move on to play for a gold medal against either Finland or the USA, who play a matinee game starting at 3:00 pm EST. The puck will drop on the Can vs Swiss game tonight at 7:00 pm EST.
Canada beat Switzerland in the round robin 5-0 and are undefeated at the tournament thus far.
Ingersoll's Ella Shelton has suited up for Team Canada for every game. She plays left defence and has 3 points, a goal and 2 assists, including an assist in the quarter final against Germany. Shelton is also a +6 for the tournament.
