The Woodstock Police Service has a few safety reminders for everyone ahead of the Canada Day long weekend.
WOODSTOCK - With the excitement of Canada Day approaching, the Woodstock Police Service would like to remind you to be safe while enjoying the celebrations.
Police will be out patrolling the roads looking for distracted, intoxicated and aggressive drivers. So if you're planning on getting out and about, make sure you have a plan to get home safely.
If you're headed to a cottage for the long weekend, remember that boaters must have a boating licence and your boat must be stocked with life jackets or personal floatation devices to ensure everyone's safety.
If you're planning on spending time at a pool or beach, remember to be attentive to your children, regardless of their swimming level. Accidents can happen in an instant.
