Burgers to Beat MS is Back

You get to eat burgers and help raise money for MS Canada. The Burgers to Beat MS campaign is taking place at A&W locations, including Oxford County with $2 from every Teen Burger purchase being donated.

OXFORD COUNTY - A collaboration between MS Canada and A&W Canada is back.

Burgers to Beat MS is today (Thursday, August 17th) and will raise money to support MS Canada and their efforts to find a cure.

All three Oxford County locations, which are in Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Tillsonburg will be involved in the campaign.

Franchisee, Steven Will says that he is thrilled to be apart of the day and be able to help such a great cause.

"In Oxford County, we are proud to do our part. Our locations combined last year raised over $10,000, and we are hoping to beat that total this year."

Will adds that even if you can't buy a Teen Burger there are other ways to help support the campaign.

"Even if you are not getting a Teen Burger, you can certainly stop by any of our A&W locations to make a donation, or even just round up your bill to the nearest dollar. Like I said, every dollar counts for such a great cause."

As part of the 15th annual Burgers to Beat MS campaign, A&W Canada and the nonprofit MS Canada aim to raise awareness about the disease along with $2 million for research to advance treatment and care, improve patients' wellbeing, and prevent and halt the disease's progression. 

About one in every 400 Canadians have MS and some 12 cases are diagnosed every day, on average.
