The Ingersoll Multi-Use Recreation Centre Ad Hoc Committee seeks input from the public.
INGERSOLL - Ingersoll residents will soon be able to voice their opinion about the upcoming multi-use rec centre.
The Ingersoll Multi-Use Recreation Centre Ad Hoc Committee will be hosting a workshop on February 15th at the Ingersoll 50+ Seniors Centre at 7 p.m. Residents will be able to talk to the committee about what they think the centre should include.
Mayor Ted Comiskey says once the workshop is over the committee will create a basic design plan.
"All of this information is going to be collected and analyzed, mixed in with all the thoughts and ideas put in by the community, and then a presentation will be brought forward."
The presentation is expected to take place this September and it will include a basic design plan for facility.
Comiskey adds the committee needs to be prepared.
"What we have to do is think smart and think ahead and make sure that when the provincial and federal government are ready to loosen some dollars that we're ready to accept them and we have something shovel-ready to build."
