Brant OPP are stressing the importance of the having the "stranger danger" talk with your kids on a regular basis.
BRANT COUNTY - Brant County OPP are encouraging parents to have ongoing talks with your kids about personal safety.
Personal safety shouldn't just be a one time talk, but something that is brought up regularly with calm discussions.
It's important to teach your children about stranger safety, tricky people or specific ways people may try to fool your child. It's also crucial to have discussions around person space and being the "boss" of your own body. Also make sure to talk to your kids about how to handle situations where they feel uncomfortable, safe or scared
For help with talking to your children or other parenting issues contact local or online resources here for ideas and supports.
Police are also asking everyone to report suspicious people and vehicles in your area.
