It's a three man race for Mayor of Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - Lifelong Woodstock resident Trevor Birtch has entered the mayoral race.
Birtch says he will work closely with local business and all stakeholders to create new opportunities, rejuvenate economic foundations, and together build and promote the Woodstock brand.
"I'm a good fit for this position based on my passion for this community combined with work experience and education. I have a Political Science degree from Western as well as Municipal Property Taxation from Seneca and I have attained the Certified Municipal Officer Designation, the most comprehensive accreditation for Municipal professionals."
The husband and father of three says he's the option for those who desire a change and new face.
"I will restore fiscal responsibility to the city to provide more services at a lower cost. I will engage the community in our future. I am listening. I will prevent the closed door meetings that seem to be standard practice for the current establishment."
Birtch, who previously ran in 2006, is going up against current mayor Pat Sobeski and former mayor Michael Harding for the position.
"I was encouraged to run for mayor by my friends and family in the community that desire a change and a new face. I would encourage people to look at my website www.tbirtch.com for more information and to provide their input."
