The school year ends today, but the Thames Valley Education Foundation is already thinking about what September will bring.
TVDSB - With the summer vacation only hours away, some parents out there are already stressing about the impact back-to-school shopping will have on their finances.
That is why the Thames Valley Education Foundation has teamed up with the Salvation Army and United Way Elgin Middlesex once again for the Best First Day Backpack Drive.
It collects backpacks and other school supplies for families in need, to ensure every child is prepared for the upcoming school year. Over 3,700 backpacks were distributed last year and you have until August 1st to donate to this year's campaign.
You can donate funds to the cause and find a list of donation drop-off locations online here.
