Norwich Township council has decided to stick with the status quo when it comes to allowing backyard chickens.
NORWICH - If you want chickens in your back yard in Norwich they will have to be in a box or bucket because no live fowl are going to be allowed in settlement areas.
Norwich Township Council looked at the issue and decided to maintain the status quo. They were worried about having to deal with complaints about noise and smell so they said that chickens and roosters will have to stay in the rural areas.
Interestingly, in Oxford the only community that allows for chickens in a back yard, with restrictions is Woodstock the largest urban area in the County.
