Ontario's education workers will return to work today, so in-person learning will resume at all TVDSB, LDCSB, and CSC Providence schools.
OXFORD/LONDON - All Thames Valley, London Catholic, and CSC Providence students will be back in the classroom today.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees called off the education worker strike yesterday after the Ford Government promised to rescind the legislation that forced a new contract on them. Both sides will now return to the bargaining table.
The union says it's still technically in strike position, but the education workers will return to the schools as a show of good faith. CUPE represents over 55,000 early childhood educators, educational assistants, custodians, and office administration staff across the province.
They walked off the job on Friday, causing several school boards to close their schools and switch to independent remote learning. This included the Thames Valley District School Board, the London District Catholic School Board, and CSC Providence.
