The Woodstock Art Gallery will be screening the award winning documentary The Last Harvest on Tuesday May 10th.
WOODSTOCK - A special screening of an award winning documentary is being hosted by the Woodstock Art Gallery.
On Tuesday May 10 people have the opportunity to watch The Last Harvest, a film following an elderly couple as they are displaced by the massive and controversial South-to-North Water Diversion Project in China.
Director and curator of the art gallery Mary Reid says this is a very special event because the film maker, Jane Hui Wang, will be in house.
"She's an emerging Canadian artist. So this is her first film that she's done, first feature documentary, and already she's receiving accolades for it. At the Whistler Film Festival she won two awards and it just had its international premiere in Paris so she's certainly one to watch and we'll be part of that platform as she springs on to the international stage."
This is an extension of the See You @ The Movies program put on by the gallery.
Tickets for the event can be bought ahead of time for $10 by clicking here or they are available at the door for $11. Seating is very limited as they will be screening the film inside the Art Gallery at 7pm.
