Oxford OPP are investigating an attempted robbery at Memorial Park in Ingersoll. According to police, a man was walking his dog through the park around 2 am when he walked passed a man who turned around, grabbed him and held him up with a weapon demanding he empty his pockets. A brief struggle ensued and the suspect fled the scene. The suspect is described as: 6 feet tall 25-30 years old Muscular build 200lbs Dark hair Scruffy facial hair, more goatee shaped Black pants Black hoodie Wearing a ball cap with a white peak The victim says the suspect concealed his face with a white plastic mask before the attack. OPP searched the area utilizing their K9, Emergency Response Team and Tactics and Rescue Unit but were not able to locate the suspect.
