Girls U-12 come away with convincing win in Aylmer.
The Oxford Attack Under 12 Major Atom Girls competitive basketball team traveled to Alymer to face the East Elgin Youth and came away with a convincing 43 – 14 victory. The Attack defense and unselfish team passing overwhelmed the inexperienced East Elgin squad.
Emma Hagen-Johnson led the Attack scoring with 10 points, while Jaime Magoffin had 8 points and Logan Machin and Amanda Witmer each netted 6 points. Beth Ewing threw numerous long and accurate passes on the Attack fast break to open teammates. Alexis Birch played excellent defense and Judy Seng boxed out her opponent while going for rebounds.
Next up the U12 Attack girls is the annual 5-game Blessed Sacrament Tournament in Hamilton next weekend.
