The Future Oxford Legacy Fund is looking to support sustainable initiatives in Oxford.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Future Oxford Legacy Fund is ready to hand out some cash to worthwhile causes.
They are accepting applications from non-profit groups and community organizations that need financial support to develop sustainable initiatives in Oxford. To apply, interested groups must have a sustainable business model and be seeking funding for a project that will support the goals in the Future Oxford Community Sustainability Plan.
In addition to non-repayable loans for non-profit groups, the Future Oxford Legacy Fund also offers year-round “Access to Capital” funding for entrepreneurial activities. Successful applicants, including private businesses, can receive financing up to $100,000 through a repayable loan with flexible repayment terms. Priority sectors include youth entrepreneurship and employment, arts, culture, tourism, high-tech manufacturing, green technology, and locally grown and processed agriculture products.
General Manager of Community Futures Oxford Allan Sim says this fund was created to improve Oxford County.
“We are proud to be able to nurture and support local business and the sustainability of our community through the Future Oxford Legacy Fund. The fund allows us to support many types of business in our community that align with the three pillars identified in the Future Oxford Community Sustainability Plan including economy, community and environment.”
Applications for the Spring intake are due by the end of next month. Individuals or organizations interested in applying for funding through the Future Oxford Legacy Fund should visit online to access the application. For more information about Future Oxford visit here.
