The Woodstock Navy Vets couldn't catch Wellesley Tuesday night.
WOODSTOCK -- The Woodstock Navy Vets are still waiting for another win.
The Vets lost their third game in a row Tuesday night, 4-1 to the Wellesley Applejacks.
The game was scoreless after the first period of play before the Applejacks took a substantial lead in the second with three goals. Woodstock's Justin Elms scored three minutes into the third with Dylan Wettlaufer and Jake Schneider picking up the assists. But it wouldn't be enough as Wellesley sealed the win with an empty netter in the last minute.
Vets' goalie Michael Roefs faced 22 shots.
Woodstock will travel to Ayr Thursday night to take on the Centennials with another home game scheduled for Friday night at Southwood Arena, against defending league champions Paris Mounties.
